The spirit of the People Power movement was not confined to the streets of Manila: Pockets of dissent manifested nationwide, creating a stir in local communities; the nation was united in the desire to attain freedom. Cebuanos, Davaoeños, Ilonggos, and Bicolanos gathered in their own plazas, packing streets with slogans and singing the anthems of the revolution.
