PROCLAMATION NO. 482

CALLING FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL EXISTING VACANCY IN THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT COUNCIL OF SIGAY, ILOCOS SUR.

WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections has certified that a vacancy exists in the Municipal District Council of Sigay, Ilocos Sur, for failure to elect the 6th councilor during the last election of November 12, 1963;

NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the authority conferred upon me by Section 21 (c) in relation to Section 22 of Republic Act No. 180, otherwise known as the Revised Election Code, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, do hereby proclaim and call a special election in the said municipal district for the purpose of electing the 6th member of the Municipal District Council of Sigay, Ilocos Sur, to serve the unexpired term of the vacancy therein; which elections shall take place on Tuesday, the ninth day of November, nineteen hundred and sixty-five, to coincide with the general elections for President, Vice-President, eight senators, and members of the House of Representatives.

The provisions of the Revised Election Code insofar as they are applicable shall be followed in the conduct of the election herein called.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
