PROCLAMATION NO. 495

DESIGNATING DECEMBER 5, 1965, AS THE DATE FOR THE FORMAL ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY OF PALAYAN.

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 4475 approved on June 19, 1965, created the City of Palayan;

WHEREAS, Section 44 of said Act provides that the City of Palayan shall be organized on such a date as may be fixed by the President;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the provisions of said Section 44 of Republic Act No. 4475, do hereby proclaim that the formal organization of the government of the City of Palayan shall take place on December 5, 1965.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 18th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-five.
