BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

PROCLAMATION NO. 2085

AUTHORIZING THE U.P. VANGUARD, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.

WHEREAS, the U.P. Vanguard, Inc. has again launched various programs for youth and cadet development, such as scholarship and grant-in-aid program awarded to deserving cadets enrolled in the University of the Philippines; and

WHEREAS, the organization needs the support of the public to enable it to carry out its laudable projects;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the U.P. Vanguard, Inc. to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one year from the issuance of this proclamation.

IN WITNESS, WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-one.
