BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES
PROCLAMATION NO. 2119
DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1981, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR.
WHEREAS, Thursday, September 17, 1981, marks the birth of the Province of Siquijor; and
WHEREAS, the residents of Siquijor should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare September 17, 1981, as a special non-working public holiday in Siquijor.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
