PROCLAMATION NO. 2131

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 2 TO 8, 1981, AS ADVERTISING WEEK.

WHEREAS, advertising plays a vital role in the dissemination of correct information respecting goods, services, and the like, so essential to the nation’s economic development;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Board of Advertising will celebrate its 7th Advertising Congress from November 2 to 8 of this year where leading communication experts and opinion leaders of the west together with other Asian advertising professionals would meet;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from November 2 to 8, 1981, as Advertising Week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 2nd day of November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-one.
