PROCLAMATION NO. 1073

DECLARING SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 1997 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JUAN, METRO MANILA

WHEREAS, Saturday, August 30, 1997 marks the 101st Anniversary of the Battle of Pinaglabanan;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of San Juan be given full opportunity to celebrate this event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Saturday, August 30, 1997 as a special day in the Municipality of San Juan, Metro Manila.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the SEAL of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 28th day of August in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Seven.
