The President went to the Central Azucarera Elementary School in San Miguel, Tarlac, to cast his vote for the Barangay Elections. This was the same place he cast his vote during the May 10, 2010 elections.
He arrived at 10 AM at Poll Precinct No. 0175A. He was assisted by poll clerks Romeo Hipolito (Chairman), Cristina Santos (member), and Yolanda Santiago (member). It took him only a few minutes to vote.
Nevertheless, the President today said he is not satisfied with how the elections were conducted, given delays in the delivery of election paraphernalia in other parts of the country, leading to extended elections in thousands of barangays.
“Paano ka masa-satisfy doon? Compared to the automated elections, mas simpleng undertaking ito,” the President said. [Ref.]
