The Pag-IBIG Fund recently signed an agreement with Honda Cars Philippines Inc. to provide employees of the Laguna-based carmaker with housing finance services. The agreement is expected to benefit Honda employees as it will ensure access to services such as the conduct of prequalification to the employees for housing, home matching, pick-up of housing loan applications and delivery of notices of approval, services which are not normally available to individual borrowers availing of a housing loan.
“We are deeply honored that Honda Cars Philippines responded to our invitation to provide our services to their hard working employees. Pag-IBIG has adopted the pro-active approach to reach out to different employers nationwide. Honda is among the first companies that responded positively to our offer. Signing this agreement is just the start. We hope to see constructed houses and families of Honda employees living in their dream houses,” said Atty. Darlene Marie B. Berberabe, President and CEO of the Pag-IBIG Fund.
Mr. Tatsuya Natsume, President and General Manager of Honda expressed his optimism on the agreement. “This agreement is formalizing the partnership towards uplifting the welfare and living conditions of our employees as this will serve as a good venue and opportunity for homeownership. Honda is fortunate to be one of the pioneer-companies to partner with Pag-IBIG in this endeavor.”
