PHLPost issues stamps to mark PhilHealth 20th anniversary

philhealthThe Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) will issue stamps to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) on February 14, 2015.

PhilHealth was established by virtue of RA 7875 with the purpose of providing each and every Filipino with access to quality health care services through equitable, affordable and sustainable health care financing.

In its 20 years of service, the PhilHealth is considered the most comprehensive health insurance program in the country and one of today’s more active and robust government corporations.

“We congratulate PhilHealth in celebrating its 20 years of existence in helping our countrymen achieved affordable health insurance benefits and medical assistance today and in the future,” Postmaster General Josie Dela Cruz said.

The PhilHealth 20th Anniversary commemorative stamp features its 20th anniversary logo, with the word “Ensuring Universal Coverage for All Filipinos.”

The said stamp is classified as a “Commemorative” kind of issue with a denomination of P10.00 and about 104,000 pieces were printed by Amstar Company. PHLPost’s in-house artist Vic Serevo laid out the colorful postage stamps that  bears the rich history of social health insurance in the country.

The stamps will be available starting Feb. 14 at the Post Shop, Philately and Museum Division, Manila Central Post Office, Door 203, Liwasang Bonifacio Manila.
