My warmest greetings to the Junior Chamber International Alabang as you hold your Induction and Turnover Ceremonies.
The oath you took as members of the JCI echoes the rallying cry of our forefathers: To forge an inclusive, revitalized nation where every Filipino is empowered to lead a dignified, productive life. We in government eagerly welcome individuals who stand ready and capable to don the mantle of citizen leadership. May you continue to captain your collective further along the path of solidarity, help emancipate our countrymen from the shackles of poverty, and employ your strengths in making the Philippines a better home for future generations.
We have arrived at a critical juncture in our continuing transformation, and we enjoin you to take a more meaningful role in shaping our society. Let us keep our sights trained on our goal of securing an equitably progressive future. May we never let our vision be clouded by anger, fear, and doubt, instead, let trust, faith, and generosity inhabit our acts. May our abiding love and compassion for our fellowman guide us in making the right choice for the greater good of our people.
