The mission intends to provide new impetus to Philippines-Germany economic relations, and explore business opportunities in the Philippines. During the luncheon, various sectoral focuses for German industries in the Philippines, such as renewable energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure were discussed. Zypries expressed interest on the information and communications technology (ICT) and knowledge process outsourcing sector, particularly game development. The German delegation also inquired on the incentive package given to foreign car companies in the Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) Program. They also look forward to the trade and investment briefing to be conducted by DTI on October 9.
