Serbisyo Caravan on its way to Misamis Oriental

The 5th Serbisyo Caravan shall serve as a venue to carry out medical and dental services, distribute food packs, educational supplies, micronutrient compact food, hygiene kits, and information materials, among others, in Gingoog, Misamis Oriental.

Thousands of Comvalenos gathered at the Mambusao Elementary School Complex, in Barangay Ngan, Compostela on October 8-9, 2015, to avail of various government services during the Serbisyo Caravan led by the Association of Regional Executives of National Agencies (ARENA) XI, together with the national line agencies, such as DOH, DILG, DENR, DPWH, DOE, DSWD, DepEd, DA, DOLE, DOST, NCIP, NHA, TESDA, PhilHealth, Philippine Statistics Authority, Philippine Regulatory Commission, Public Attorney’s Office, National Police Commission, OPAPP, and other agencies under the Office of the President.

To bring the services of the government closer to the people, there will be a 5th Serbisyo Caravan to be held on February 3-4, 2016 in Gingoog, Misamis Oriental.

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Regional Office 10 and Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) 10 Director Ana Caheda shall be representing the office to provide information materials to help raise the public’s awareness on disaster risk reduction and management.

One of the materials that will be provided is a compilation of the Disaster Information for Nationwide Awareness Project (Project DINA) videos on earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, landslides, tropical cyclones, flooding, fires, and storm surges. The video, along with other informational materials, is geared towards increasing awareness and disaster preparedness in the communities.

During the preparation of the Caravan, the coordination meetings also discussed the ongoing projects requested by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 10.
