949 passengers stranded in various ports nationwide due to ‘Carina’

MANILA, July 31 (PNA) — Passengers stranded in various ports nationwide due to severe tropical storm ‘Carina’ have decreased to 949, the Philippine Coast Guard said Sunday.

These include 192 rolling cargoes, 8 vessels and 1 motor banca.

A rundown of those stranded include:

  1. COAST GUARD DISTRICT BICOL- 69 covering the ff ports of:
  • Port of Pasacao, Camarines Sur- 51
  • Port of San Andres- Catanduanes- 8
  • Port of Virac, Catanduanes- 10

All these and a total of 11 stranded rolling cargoes, 8 stranded vessels and 1 motor banca.

  1. COAST GUARD DISTRICT EASTERN VISAYAS- 880 covering the ff port of:
  • Port of Looc, Catbalogan- 118
  • Port of San Isidro, Catbalogan- 604
  • Port of Jubusan, Catbalogan- 158

All these with a total of 181 stranded rolling cargoes (PNA) BNB/ANP
