The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) today filed separate criminal complaints with the Department of Justice against two (2) delinquent taxpayers – one individual and one corporate (including its responsible corporate officer) – for Willful Failure to Pay Taxes under the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, as amended (Tax Code).

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) today filed a criminal complaint with the Department of Justice against Gaudencio V. De Guzman (De Guzman) for willful attempt to evade or defeat taxes and deliberate failure to supply correct and accurate information in his Annual Income Tax Return (ITR) for taxable years 2009, 2010 and 2011 pursuant to Sections 254 and 255 of the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, as amended (Tax Code).

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) today filed separate criminal complaints with the Department of Justice against two delinquent corporate taxpayers (including their responsible officers) for Willful Failure to Pay Taxes, in violation of Section 255 in relation to Section 253 of the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, as amended (Tax Code).


BIR Collection for November 2013 Grew by P15.69B or 14.17%

For the month of November 2013, the BIR collected Php 126.46 billion in tax revenues, Php 15.69 Billion or 14.17% more than collections made in November 2012. Total collection for the period January to November 2013 totaled Php 1,120 billion (or Php 1.12 trillion) exceeding the total actual collection for the whole year of 2012 which amounted to P1,058 billion (or P1.058 trillion).
