[English] Benigno S. Aquino III, Sixth State of the Nation Address, July 27, 2015

More than five years have passed since we put a stop to the culture of “wang-wang,” not only in our streets, but in society at large; since we formally took an oath to fight corruption to eradicate poverty; and since the Filipino people, our bosses, learned how to hope once more. My bosses, this is the story of our journey along the Straight Path.

Benigno S. Aquino III, Sixth State of the Nation Address, July 27, 2015

– Pres. Benigno S. Aquino III, Sixth State of the Nation Address, July 27, 2015

[English] Benigno S. Aquino III, fifth State of the Nation Address, July 28, 2014

The transformation we are experiencing now, we can make permanent with the guidance of God. As long as your faith remains strong—as long as we continue serving as each other’s strength—we will continue proving that “the Filipino is definitely worth dying for,” “the Filipino is worth living for,” and if I might add: “The Filipino is worth fighting for.”

Benigno S. Aquino III, Fifth State of the Nation Address, July 28, 2014

Hangga’t buo ang ating pananalig at tiwala, at hangga’t nagsisilbi tayong lakas ng isa’t isa, patuloy nating mapapatunayan na, “the Filipino is worth dying for” , “the Filipino is worth living for,” at idadagdag ko naman po: “The Filipino is definitely worth fighting for.”

[English] Benigno S. Aquino III, Fourth State of the Nation Address, July 22, 2013

This is our fourth SONA. When I was a congressman, the people of Tarlac were my strength. When I became a senator and until now, in my Presidency, the people of our country have been there. You are my strength. As we continue doing our part—and as we continue placing faith in our fellowmen and in God—I tell you: It will still be you who will make certain that what we have begun here will continue; you will be the ones who will make sure that we will completely eradicate corruption; you will be the ones who will make sure that we will never again stray from the straight and righteous path.

Benigno S. Aquino III, Fourth State of the Nation Address, July 22, 2013

(English translation) Benigno S. Aquino III, Third State of the Nation Address, July 23, 2012

This is my third SONA. It wasn’t too long ago when we began to dream again; when, united, we chose the straight and righteous path; when we began to cast aside the culture of wang-wang, not only in our streets, but in every sector of society.

It has been two years since you said: We are tired of corruption and of poverty; it is time to restore a government that is truly on the side the people.

Benigno S. Aquino III, Third State of the Nation Address, July 23, 2012

Benigno S. Aquino III, Second State of the Nation Address, July 25, 2011
